Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a ex-chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. She hosts The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark spiky blonde hair and a pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces intimidation of restaurants dishes in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell worked in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary traditions and environment. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by cooking and food from an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step when she earned an Associate of Arts degree in English and Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful learning experience for me. The Culinary Institute of America was an excellent opportunity to pursue a degree. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy, Chef Burrell developed an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian culinary traditions. It made a huge effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell is a well-known ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids with disabilities. She speaks about her cooking passion, and also shares her expertise in the culinary world, as she regularly travels throughout the US in the roles of speaker and mentor. Anne always felt fortunate that she had the opportunity to share her love of her life, and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
