Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born May 12, 1972 is an American actress. She is best known for playing attorney Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), where she is a two-time winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress for a series, Miniseries or Television Film. She also appeared on NBC's Whitney (2011–2013) and ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash 2011-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12, 1972. Her mother was the executive assistant to the United States Navy, while her father worked as an agent for the Naval Investigative Service; her family moved frequently during her early years, including Washington, D.C. and Arizona, as well as in Japan. She followed in the footsteps her grandmother and father by studying architecture, painting, and drawing from a young age. In her pursuit of the visual arts, she developed a passion for acting. She was also introduced to modern theatre in the course of her college. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. Seehorn, at the time of her college graduation, wanted to go into theater after being urged by her acting instructor. She worked many ancillary positions in the theatre industry in D.C. to try to be noticed. Although she eventually managed to secure major roles in local theater productions and had to do odd jobs to survive but she continued to work in the film industry as an educational filmmaker. Then she was part of more television productions. The most frequent comparisons she was made was to Bea Arthur, whom was described by her as "very wry," "sarcastic, and knowing" women. The roles were typically cancelled after just one or two seasons. Seehorn was chosen to play Kim Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest for Saul Goodman, the aforementioned Jimmy McGill.
