Charisma Carpenter

 Charisma Carpenter (born July 23rd 1970) is an American actress. She was Cordelia Chase in the supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also appeared as Kyra in Charmed (2004) as well as Kendall Casablanca's character in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013), and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012). Carpenter was born in Las Vegas. Carpenter has Spanish, French, and German descent (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas; she was also a member of a dance and song group that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley when she was nine years old.When Carpenter was 15, her family relocated to Rosario Beach, Baja California, Mexico and then to San Diego, California. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter traveled all over Europe following her graduation. After returning to San Diego, she worked as a clerk at a video store, an aerobics instructor, as well as in property management. She cheered for the San Diego Chargers football club in the year 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles. She was swimming in San Diego with two male friends at the time that Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex-police officer from San Diego and serial rapist and a serial rapist, attacked the group. During the battle the two friends as well as Hubbard were shot, forcing Hubbard to flee the scene. Both friends were able to escape the assault. Hubbard was taken into custody and was convicted and sentenced to 56 years of prison time for several murders. Carpenter took Hubbard his flashlight from the police station on the beach. Hubbard had left it in the area. The flashlight turned out to be an important piece of evidence against Hubbard.
