Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara (Spanish: Born on 10th July 1972) is a Colombian-American actress, television producer, presenter, and model. Vergara was the highest-paid actress in American television between 2013 until 2020.Vergara became famous after hosting two television shows for Spanish-language TV network Univision in the late 1990s. Her first major acting role in English was in the film Chasing Papi (2003). She subsequently appeared in Four Brothers (2005) and Tyler Perry's comedies Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009) and received an ALMA Award nomination for the second. She made her debut as Gloria Delgado–Pritchett on ABC's comedy series Modern Family in 2009. As a result of this role, she received four Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards. Her voice-overs included Happy Feet Two (2011) and Escape from Planet Earth (2013). She was also in The Emoji Movie (2017). Vergara was also a top-paid Hollywood actress in 2020 [citation needed]. Vergara is America's Got Talent judge since 2020. Vergara was born to an Roman Catholic family in Barranquilla. Vergara's mom Margarita Vergara was a housewife and her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher. Her siblings, five in all, and a number of her family members called her "Toti". Vergara studied three years of dental school at the National University of Colombia. However, she decided to withdraw from the school two semesters in advance in order to pursue modeling and showbusiness opportunities.
