Rose McGowan

"Rose", born on September 5, 1973 was an American actress. McGowan's
film debut was in the comedic Encino Man (1992), but she earned more
recognition for her performance in The Doom Generation (1995), where she received
an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut Performance. Her
breakthrough role came in the film horror Scream in the year 1996. The film was
followed by films Jawbreaker (1999) and Devil in the Flesh (2000). McGowan is
most famous for her performance in Charmed which was a supernatural drama
series on WB from 2001 until 2006. McGowan was also a mainstay in Quentin
Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007), for
which she received nominations both for the Saturn Award as Best Actress as
well as the Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. In 2014, McGowan appeared in
Chosen, an action-thriller television series. She released Planet 9, her first
album of her own in the year 2018 and a repackaging followed in 2020. McGowan
was honored by Time as one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine’s Person of
Year in 2017. She spoke out against sexual harassment and assault particularly
the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases. She's published her memoir, Brave, and
starred in the documentary series Citizen Rose, which consists of four parts.
